Director

Babak Javadi

Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Tehran, specializing in operations research, supply chains, business optimization, industrial automation and smart factories.

Babak Javadi earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2013 and has served its Department of Industrial Engineering, College of Farabi, since 2016.

He was a visiting scholar at the University of Groningen and collaborated with EATON's Research & Development section in Hengelo, the Netherlands. His research has appeared in journals including the International Journal of Production Research, Engineering Optimization, Applied Soft Computing and Applied Mathematical Modelling.

Alongside his academic work, he brings two decades of experience across industrial and service organizations. He is Director of the Computational Optimization and Smart Transformation Laboratory.

Soroush Yousefi holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Systems Optimization, from the University of Tehran.

His work connects AI research with intelligent product and business applications. He focuses on applied artificial intelligence, data-informed decision making, innovation, Agile ways of working and strategies that help organizations turn emerging technology into measurable value.

Mohammadreza Abdali

Researcher and data analyst focused on sustainable supply chains, multi-objective optimization, machine learning, demand forecasting and analytical decision support.

Mohammadreza Abdali holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain from the University of Tehran.

In 2024, he was selected as a top researcher at the University of Tehran. His project experience includes demand forecasting and fuel-station location planning for the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company. He also serves as Head of International Trade and Exports.
